LIGHTING IN COREL DRAW

Spot Lighting in Corel Draw is a very great thing to do, when you want to design.

First there are things you will need to consider when a design is to be made;

Know what to work on and the type of font to use because; mixing of fonts and colour in a design at time will not allow the message in a design to tell or speak on its own.

Let me give you some few step in terms of choosing or mixing colors in a design

• If you want Red then make use of radial effect by mixing two colours  (Black and Red) at a time.
• If you want Blue then still use radial effect by mixing two colours again (Blue and Cyan)
• If is Purple then use Black and Blue purple)
• If is Green the use (Dark green and chartreuse)
• Or try this (Blue and Magenta) but make use of linear etc.

Note: from number one to four is Radial but number five is Linear effect, to achieve the above colours designs

Now let get started with our spot lighting effect……

We are going to make use of Corel Drawx3 or x4 etc.

Launch your CorelDraw

Go to text tool and type the above word or characters, and make use of any character you want but if you want to use the same font (Murray hill Bd)

Now the create the background, I have already explained it but let go, create a rectangle, fill in (Black and red), what I mean by that press (F11) From: Black and To: Red

If you notice two colour background looks good than one colour

Now put an outline for the text and create a shadow under it but duplicate the text because we will use it later, separate the shadow from text by pressing (Ctrl + K) which is break apart (to separate both the shadow and the text together), and make the shadow come on top of the text by clicking on the shadow first and press (shift + page up),

Now the duplicate the other text we left over before, remember it has no outline, press (Shift + page up) to bring the object on top, Highlight all of them and press (P) to center everything, you should be able to achieve the same design.
