HOW TO PLACE PLASTIC EFFECT

Plastic effect

Plastic effect is one of the most powerful effect use in designing through Corel Photo-Paint, it is also a related effect to Emboss, Emboss is also related to Plastic but not the same.
Plastic effect can be apply to classic design or logo design, in most occasion it is preferred to be use in logos

It can be achieve in Corel Photo-Paint but before we could do this, we will need to open CorelDraw and either create an object or type a text for us to be able to apply the plastic effect on it.

You can use any version of CorelDraw or Photo-Paint either X3, X6, X7
Let begin……….

First is to launch Corel Draw for us to be able to put in the text, From Corel Draw To Corel Photo-Paint
Go to text tool at the left hand side in the Corel Draw and click the tool or press on your keyboard (F8), a blinking  line will appear close to your cursor means (ready for typing), you can use any font you like but the font I use is tango

Now increase the size of the font, remove the outline of the character and fill in the colour but I use a combination of two colours, to achieved this, press (F11)
Fountain type select Radial, set the settings; the From: Green, To: chartreuse and the mid-Point should be Zero. Locate Bitmap at the top of the tittle bar and convert text to Bitmap or press on your keyboard (Alt + B +Enter),

Note: your text must be selected before this can be done,
After converting your text to Bitmap, you can’t edit the text again except you have to undo it (go back to the previous level).

Let change the state of the text
Go back to the same place you Bitmap your text or press on your keyboard (Alt + B) this time around don’t press Enter but locate “Edit Bitmap”
Now click Edit Bitmap, and it will take you to Corel Photo-Paint

Locate effect at the top screen and to the bottom where you see plastic. A dialogue box with appears immediately you click on the plastic and start editing, for the Highlight 59%, Depth 45%, smoothness 75%, Light Direction 315% and the colour should be white.

Once you are through, OK it and close the program (Corel Photo-Paint) and it will take you back to CorelDraw, you will see the final result just as the sample above.
And that it…..  yours should look like mine!!!

Ok thank you I hope this tutorials will help you one way or the other when you are designing or wanted to use it in your project work, comment me for more or if you are having difficulties.
