HOW TO CREATE SHINY PARTICLES/VIGNETTE

Vignette particles are shiny particles that can be created in any software listed below CorelDraw, Photoshop, Illustration and more. But today we shall be talking about CorelDraw for a start.

First there is need for us to know about vignette before we could process.

Vignette is also known as a transparent edges of a circle created along with little rectangle behind it, it can also be used in designing of flyers, handbills, calendar and even logo design, let begin with the rectangle background.

This effect can only be done with a dark background under it for the particles to appears on it

Vignette is often added to images to draw interest and frames to the center of an image but will are not interest in that for now

This is a step by step on how to create shiny particles/vignette to an object or design

Today I will be teaching you how this is done in no time, creating shiny particles has been a very difficult thing to do for some people, In other to create our shiny particles, it is necessary for us to create a rectangle effect under it for it to showcase the right out of it.

The first thing we do is to create the above rectangle and apply a red colour on it

Type the above text using Pristina font or any font of your choice and arrange them.

For the vignette draw a small rectangle, apply white color and remove the black outline, put a transparent effect on it, just like this…….

Now duplicate it in four places and arrange the transparent rectangle side by side, up and down, forming a cross sign just as the picture below

Note: make sure you reduce the rectangle cross a little bit and zoom the whole thing

Highlight everything and Group (Ctrl + G) them, create a small circle and apply a white outline on it like “1.5point” now in creating the small vignette particle in the whole object, we will have to create another small circle, remove the outline and apply a white colour on it and beside the outline circle you have just drawn previously now go to the left to tool and look for Interactive Drop Shadow tool

And apply it using drop shadow opacity 100%, drop shadow fathering 20%, transparency operation Normal, Drop shadow colour white.

You should arrive with the above image, don’t forget about the characters you have type before and arrange all of them with the final sample I have provided, this can used in designing of e.g. flyers, magazine, label, stickers and more,
