LEARN HOW TO ADD A RAY EFFECT ON TEXT USING COREL DRAW

1.       FIRST OPEN YOUR COREL DRAW

Launch your CorelDraw, Go to text tool, type any character and make sure you use thick character, this effect, I use just two colours to achieve this

Go to the left tools bar and locate fountain fill or press on keyboard (F11), put radial, Blue and cyan to blend them both just as the above image

2.       NOW DRAW A STRAIGHT LINE

Draw a small straight line up and down, make sure is at the center of the characters, Drag the line up and down to draw a vertical straight line using the freehand tool or you just press (F5). Just like the above image

3.       INCREASE THE OUTLINE

By increasing the outline of the line will make the straight line thicker than before, because the outline before is too tiny all we need to do is to increase the boldness of the line. Make sure the straight line is selected before you could do this, locate your tool bar as usual go to outline and insert 2 point for now or for shortcut press on your keyboard (F12). Just like the above image

4.       ROTATION

We have to rotate the straight line in duplicate to achieve just as the sample above, before we rotate let double click on the line until its shows you an arrow of rotation just like the above image

5.       CHANGING OF COLOUR

The colour of the line will be change to White, make sure the line is selected so go to the colour palette and right click on White

6.       TRANSFORMATION

At the top go to ARRANGE click on TRANSFORMATION then click on ROTATION

it will display an icon, so you just input 10 or 12 degrees as the Angles rotation and select as the above

Note: make sure your line for rotating is selected already

A dialog box should now show at the right hand side of the worksheet, select the Relative Center to be down left and keep pressing APPLY TO DUPLICATE repeatedly until you completely achieve a ray effect on your text.
