How to apply Interactive Contour effect
to an object in CorelDraw
This
tool has the ability to create extra outline or duplicate the same text so that
you can apply different colours to it, because outline is different from
contour tool, in applying of outline to an object or text you can only apply
one colour to it.
The different is clear, with contour
tool, you can apply two or more colours to your text.
And
also you can blend the outline of a single object to larger or even smaller
size of the object, duplicate the outline in twos or threes depending on the
size of the text
Let get started on how to apply it step
by step
These text effects is
applied by creating your object or typing of a text just like mine below
In CorelDraw press (F8)
and type
Go to the left tool bar, find Contour
tool and click it, make sure your text is selected; from here there are two
ways of doing this
First By looking at the top tool bar
were you can find e.g. To center, inside, outside, contour steps, contour
offset etc. but what we are interested in, is contour steps, now use it to
increase or decrease the sizes
or
2. Second By dragging the text to the
inside of the object or drag out side, you will notice that a big outline is
surrounding the text.
Note: if you increase the size of
everything both the text and the outline of the text, the size of the outline
surrounding the text will reduce drastically. With this you can be able to
control how the outline will look like
You can now break apart the whole thing (meaning
separate everything because is already combined) and start inserting colours to
the text, to achieve the same colours as mine; use Dark Red, Dark yellow and
brown colour
After inserting the effect you will have
three duplicate now for you to separate them, is either you break apart or
ungroup all (only when is group) and start by click on each text and insert
your preferred colour to it, you are done, these can be used in flyers or logo
design easy and simply.
Corel Draw is friendly software that is
not too complicated like other software/programs believe, because there are
some software that are harder and complicated than CorelDraw, before you learn
them, you have to go through a lot of processes just to achieve some designs.
You can use the Share bottom, share to friends family
Please I dont get what you mean by break apart the whole thing and then add colours.
ReplyDeleteafter putting the effect you will have like three duplicate, now for you to separate them you must either break apart or ungroup all (Ctrl U) and start by clicking on each text put your preferred colour to it
